Notation: Most SVG files are mostly downloaded equally a ZIP file and will need to be unzipped and extracted before yous can apply them in Cricut Design Space. If y'all are trying to download a Zippo file to your iPhone or iPad, please follow these instructions.

How to Upload an SVG File in Cricut Blueprint Space Software (on computer)

Note: for this tutorial, we are using our Free Heartbreaker SVG file, available hither!

First, open the Cricut Design Space software on your computer (you may need to create an account and download the software if this is your commencement time using it). In the lower left-hand corner of the screen, you will encounter an "Upload" icon. Click on the Upload icon to brainstorm the procedure of uploading an SVG file.

A new screen will appear which displays your most recently uploaded images. Click on the "Upload Image" button in the top left-center of the screen to upload a new file.

Click "Browse" to select the file from your computer or simply drag and drop the file from your estimator folder in to this window.

Notation: in your computer's folder, your SVG files may appear with the icon of your spider web browser (for example, I was using Google Chrome for these screenshots, and the Heartbreaker Valentines Day SVG file is showing upwardly in the folder with the Chrome icon) – don't worry, this is normal!

The next screen will give you a preview image of your SVG. Give your prototype a name and add whatsoever tags that you want (for example, this file might be tagged with "middle, Valentine, etc." Tags will aid yous filter and sort your files later once you've amassed a larger library of uploaded images). Click the green "Save" push in the lower right-mitt corner.

Now, your newly uploaded file will appear in the "Recently Uploaded Images" gallery. Simply select the image (a dark-green box will appear around the prototype) and click on the green "Insert Images" push button in the lower right-paw corner.

How to Upload an SVG File in the Cricut Design Infinite App (for Android and iOS devices)

If you don't yet have the Cricut Design Infinite app installed on your device, click here to download and install it and create a new user account. Open up the Cricut Blueprint Space app, and click on the large blue "New Projection" box in the upper left corner.
