Dead in Vinland How to Awaken Blue Goddess
Vinland is included in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and it represents North America during this time period. Players are often confused about this strange land as Randvi introduces it as the place where Gorm is hiding following the Lunden story arc. Eivor desires to end his life and rid the world of another Order of the Ancients member, however, you might not be so sure you want to go to this mysterious place.
This land is unlike anywhere else in the game, as there are a few differences between this place and Norway or England. It can be tempting to travel there right away, but there are some things you should know before making the journey.
10 You Have No Armor
The first thing you will notice is that you will be dressed as a Thrall, otherwise known as a slave, when you arrive. You will not have access to your upgraded armor or even be able to acquire the pieces you have collected while in Vinland. This area can be a bit of a challenge for this reason, but this is just the start.
9 Forget Having Any Weapons

Your fists will be your friends when you enter your first fight in this region because, like your armor, all of your weapons were left back in England. The sad part is, even if you do kill an opponent with a weapon you cannot loot it off their dead body. This is one thing that just doesn't make sense about the game, but it's part of what makes Vinland such a difficult place to visit.
8 There Are New Animals
North America has some different species of animals from England and Norway. Eivor has the ability to hunt things like turkey, bear, and even a cougar. There is also a legendary animal for her to kill called the O Yan Do' Ne. which is actually just a giant moose. Eivor can also use her fishing skills to catch some of the local cuisine, but these are all the same as those in England.
7 You Can Travel Back To England At Any Time
Unlike when you travel to Asgard and experience Norse mythology, you can head home to England at any point when you land in Vinland. All you have to do is talk to Nessa by the shore and she will offer to take you home.
This is a great perk as it doesn't mean you are trapped until you complete the storyline. It gives you the freedom to go where you want and jump from place to place, rather than grinding out one region at a time.
6 Macbeth Are Vicious
There is a village within Vinland where an enemy known as the Macbeth is located. They look harmless at first, but once they spot you they will not stop until you are desynchronized. It is best to use stealth in this area to pick some of them off so you are facing three at once, rather than ten or more.
5 Natives Will Trade With You
The Iroquois are different from the Macbeth, as they will not look to harm you. Instead, they will offer to trade with you in return for leather and iron ore. This is how Eivor can equip herself with weapons and armor, even though it is fairly basic in its creation. These traders are marked and located across the map so as you collect more materials, you can buy new items from the Iroquois who are patiently awaiting your gifts.
4 Upgrade Your Rations
One thing to do before heading to Vinland is to upgrade your rations as much as you can before making the journey. You will need all the health possible, especially if you find yourself entering an enemy camp with nothing more than a club.
Eivor can upgrade her rations up to six times, and waiting to complete a few more regions in England will go a long way to helping you become successful in Vinland. You will be amazed by how many times you can taste desynchronization as you work to obtain the ingots needed to buy better weapons and armor.
3 There Is No Recommended Power Level

You should keep in mind that while there is no recommended power level, this doesn't mean that everyone can travel there right away. Eivor's power level should still be higher and she should have her rations and quiver upgraded to give her the best chance at survival. Gorm is still a tough opponent for those with higher power levels, however, having a few useful abilities can make this an easy fight.
2 None Of Your Crafting Materials Will Come With You
Some try and stock up on leather and iron ore before heading to Vinland so they can buy armor and weapons right away, but the truth is that none of this stuff comes with you. There is no point in wasting your time doing this as you will be forced to spend just as much in Vinland hunting down animals, looting chests, and smashing iron ore formations. It is definitely a bummer, but not a game-ender as they make these materials plentiful throughout this new region.
Eivor might not have been able to sneak over her armor or weapons, but she was able to bring along her hidden blade given to her by Basim. This is great to keep in mind as it enables you to perform assassinations in enemy camps in order to make retrieving the ingots even easier. She might have been left without her primary gear, but the creators decided not to leave her with nothing at all.
